Bethania Borba Rodríguez was crowned Miss Mundo Paraguay 2021 in a special and private ceremony held September 27 at the Gran Nobile Hotel & Convention in Ciudad del Este. This crowning is organized by the Promociones Gloria organization and the organization Reinas de Bellezas of Paraguay. The 18-year-old marketing student succeeds Miss World Paraguay 2019 Araceli Bobadilla and will represent the country at the 70th Miss World contest to be held in December in Puerto Rico.

“Officially we are heading to one of the most important contests in the world where I will not be Bethania, but PARAGUAY. We are going for EVERYTHING, with a lot of preparation even if the time is very short,” she said on her Instagram to share her joy.
Born in the city of Presidente Franco, Alto Paraná department, Bethania is 18 years-old and is currently pursuing a degree in Marketing and Advertising, in the segment of digital commercial influence, for which she has won important contracts with renowned multinational companies stationed in the country. She attended her primary and secondary studies at the private school Espíritu Santo in the same city, where she ventured into the world of beauty, participating in various competitions representing her institution as a student queen.
Likewise, at the age of ten, she began in the media, when she was invited to participate in television auditions broadcast through Red Guaraní. At the age of 14, she was the host of an educational children’s program, broadcast over the course of a year, by the TV Cable Paraná signal.
In 2017, she participated for the first time in a district beauty contest, being proclaimed sovereign of her hometown President Franco, in the Teen category, earning the right to represent her municipality in the framework of a national competition where she was placed in the Top 5, rising with the title of Second Finalist.
