Maja Ćolić of Ribnica was crowned Miss Slovenije 2021 at the end of the finals, held on June 27 at the municipality of Hrastnik, Slovania. She earned the right to represent her country at the 2021 Miss World pageant, to be held on December 16, 2021 in Puerto Rico.
The 21-year-old beauty queen also honored with the title of ambassador of the Tosama, natural brand and sponsor of this pageant. She is a fresh economics graduate.
In May, she also became an ambassador of the project “With you can“, which takes place under the auspices of the Protection Work Center (VDC) Zasavje. She will advocate for a more inclusive society. The VIP Zasavje project carries an important message in it – VIP – Inclusive Innovative Connected Zasavje. In doing so, they want to draw attention to how important it is that all people have the opportunity to be active players on the ‘playground of life’ and not just passive observers. VIP Zasavje is therefore an innovative concept of integrating vulnerable groups into society. An inclusive society is being built by two foundations at the same time. The first is the competences and self-confidence of people with special needs for social integration. The second is the creative cross-sectoral integration and cooperation of managers employed from various organisations, teachers and children with the aim of learning to work together to remove barriers in people’s minds in addition to architectural barriers for people with disabilities. To become an inclusive society for all in thought, words and deeds is a message that she will spread among people as an ambassador for this project.
The Maja’s court includes Lina Jenšac as first runner-up and Neža Simčič as second runner-up.
