Today we travel in the United States with the portrait of Felix Martin II crowned “MISTER SUPRANATIONAL USA 2021” and candidate for “MISTER SUPRANATIONAL 2021” which will take place Sunday August 22 at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater, in Nowy Sącz, Poland.
Inside Pageant (IP) – Introduce yourself for people who don’t know you.
My name is Felix Martin II, and I am honored to represent the United States in Poland for the Mister Supranational 2021 competition. I am a commercial model and a health and fitness professional from Jackson, Mississippi. For me, pageantry is a way to showcase your presence as a leader and a representative of excellence while using your talents to promote your work in the world. One of my philosophies in life is to use your space to be a force for excellence and to be a beacon that ultimately helps others raise their own light in life.
Inside Pageant (IP) – Who is the most influential person in your life?
My parents. Felix and Lisa Martin.
Inside Pageant (IP) – What is the best lesson this person has learned you and that has shaped your life?
My dad has taught me the value of tenacity and excellence when it comes to my work in life and my mom has taught me the value of seizing the opportunities that present themselves and doing it with boldness no matter the outcome. These are just a few of the gifts they have given me.
Inside Pageant (IP) – What is your motto, your philosophy of life ?
Leave every person and space that you enter, better and more alive than what you found it. By this, our society is naturally elevated to its highest standard.
Inside Pageant (IP) – Why is so important for you ?
It is important for me because we are called to give and be kind and to love one another and the world we live in. It is important to leave every person and place better than what I found it because it invites wholeness and peace to come in and rest.
Inside Pageant (IP) – What is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is my faith because it teaches me to always believe in the highest good possible and to lead life with integrity. Each day I am grateful that I can give thanks for great health, the ability to speak to my family and friends regularly and the ability to enjoy the work that I love to do.
Inside Pageant (IP) – What values do you wish you could teach the next generation ?
I would love to teach the next generation the value of patience and the essence of timing when it comes to what we desire in life. If I can teach them to trust in what is happening for them and to believe in what is to come, I am doing what is most profitable to them. When we trust and allow life to unfold, it is so beautiful.
Inside Pageant (IP) – What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?
I love eating raspberry cheesecake talent ( gelato ). It is most pleasurable for my tastebuds. Yum!
Inside Pageant (IP) – What are your hobbies and interests?
I love taekwondo, learning about anything that deals with the spiritual nature of who we are as humans, certainly new and tasty cuisines, connecting with nature and art of all kinds. I love seeing quality paintings and visiting museums around the world.
Inside Pageant (IP) – Your rare talent?
I have an ability to easily recall what month people are born in and hold that in my memory for a long time.
Inside Pageant (IP) – Your favorite books?
The Alchemist, Paulo Coehlo. The Magic Of Big Thinking, Dr. David Schwartz and The Bible.
Inside Pageant (IP) – Your favorite quotes?
“In the struggle between yourself and the world, second the world”- Franz Kafka. “When you want something all of the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” – Paulo Coehlo. “For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has already prepared in advance for us to do”. Ephesians 2:10
Inside Pageant (IP) – Now that we know you a little better. Tell us about your pageant history. How did you start in beauty pageants?
I started in Mr. and Miss. pageants when I was in grade school. I can remember seeing my photo posted for kindergarten that I had placed 2nd runner up in a pageant. I remember seeing the king who won wear this top hat and I knew I wanted to be in his shoes. I was only 4 or 5 years old. My mom was the one who encouraged me to participate in them and urged me to continue to try. She felt it would build my esteem in myself. I went on to high school and college to place and win in two other pageants.
Inside Pageant (IP) – What’s your best memory in pageantry?
My best memory in pageantry is getting to perform as Michael Jackson doing the thriller dance. The one with the red jacket while running around with my onstage “girlfriend”. My mom actually made the red jacket from the video he did to perform in. We almost lost the jacket an hour before the show started and she had to race home to retrieve it, ha!! A very fun memory!
Inside Pageant (IP) – What’s your worst memory in pageantry?
My worst pageant memory would have to be thinking that I wasn’t going to be able to wear my Michael Jackson jacket in the pageant because I had left it at home. Luckily, my mom raced home to get it before the show even began!
Inside Pageant (IP) – What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
The onstage strategy is to remain powerful in my presence by carrying with me the energy of all of those years of previous pageant victories knowing that I am enough. Also, to stay true to what I present in every category and remain consistent and bold in every presentation. Judges can tell when you are a phony and I pledge to be powerfully authentic and genuine. That is what prevails.
Inside Pageant (IP) – How do you define your style? What’s your strength?
My style is very clean, classic and eye-catching. I tend to dress in a way that is noteworthy in any room I find myself in. My strength is my ability to motivate others into developing their own power by harnessing and nurturing my own gifts, talents and abilities.
Inside Pageant (IP) – Your fitness and health secret?
My fitness secret is consistency when it comes to moving my body weekly. I always find time to exercise each week and hydrate! I also have a tablespoon of black seed oil every day. For me, it is the grandmaster of healing oils to me.
Inside Pageant (IP) – If you win Mister Supranational, what would be your first strong action?
My first strong action would be to get back to Nairobi, Kenya and raise money for the HEART foundation in Nairobi. It is an organization that helps families ( women and children) who are affected by HIV/AIDS get proper aid for better living.
Inside Pageant (IP) – If you win Mister Supranational, which cause will you defend ?
- I am an advocate and a leader in health and wellness. I truly believe in making your well-being a priority and I plan to emanate that lifestyle for people to embrace as long as I am on earth.
- I am also looking forward to helping elevate the lives of women and children in Kenya impacted by HIV/AIDS.
- Bring awareness to lion hunting and stopping the killing and hunting for lions. ( I have a deep love for this animal. It is precious to me so it is added to my list of giving back :)).
Inside Pageant (IP) – What are some of your achievements?
I was featured in the Sacramento Bee as a breakout fitness trainer in 2015. I won the title of Most Handsome in a beauty and beau pageant as well as the title of Mr. Delta Gent in college. I landed a national commercial spot with Xfinity in 2014 and I got to do a talk about nutrition and health with Dr. Oz for my high school. Not only did we get to talk, we got to dance together too!
Inside Pageant (IP) – What do you think about the power of social networks today?
Social media has a way of allowing us to present our passions and superpowers to the world on an instant global scale. I think that is the beauty of it. We are able to easily connect to people who enjoy the exact same things that we do and enjoy giving back to the world the same way that we do.
Inside Pageant (IP) – What’s your favorite social network?
Instagram for sure!
Inside Pageant (IP) – If you had app, it would be an app about:
I would have a mindfulness and meditation app the people could go to in order to relieve stress. They would also be able to access daily motivational quotes and workouts. It would be a breath of fresh air on people’s day for sure.
Inside Pageant (IP) – If you had a magazine title about you, what would it say?
“ Felix, A Renaissance Man and His Reign”
Inside Pageant (IP) – If you had a talk show, it would be a show about:
My talk show would be about how to increase the essence of our inner man, the spirit, so that our outer selves can shine more.
Inside Pageant (IP) – These final lines are yours. An inspirational message ?
One of the keys to living fully is by making use of every opportunity that presents itself to you and to always ask yourself what is my intention here and is this right for me? Always, always follow the peace within yourself with every decision you have to make because where there is peace, there is also prosperity, open doors and abundance waiting for you. If there is a lack of peace about a step you’re thinking of taking, then press pause until you have the okay from within to move forward.
Thanks you Felix for your time. We look forward to meeting you on Mister Supranational and admiring your performance.
