Teresa Stela Barbosa Silva Santos was crowned Miss Universo Brasil 2021 (aka Miss Universe Brazil 2021) at the end of the finals, held on 9th November 2021 aboard the cruise ship the MSC Preziosa. The competition was set to be the inaugural edition of the new Miss Universe Brazil competition, under new leadership. The final was filmed on 7th November, aboard the cruise ship the MSC Preziosa. As the final was set to air two days after filming, the crowning moments of all of the three finalists were filmed, while only the winner’s was included in the telecast aired on 9th November 2021. The representative of Ceará will represent her country at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe in Eilat in December 2021.
The 23-year-old beauty queen works as model. She is a fitness enthusiast and a psychology student too.
Teresa is not a newbie to pageantry. She had previously been crowned Miss Ceará 2021 and Miss Ceará 2018, and placed as the second runner-up at Miss Brazil 2018. She is the fourth woman from Ceará to win Miss Brazil.
The 2021 Miss Universe Brazil’ court includes Gabriela Lacerda (Piauí) and Carol Valença (Sergipe) as first and second runners-up, respectively.
