Yannina Ruiz Rosa from Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Petite International 2021 at the end of the finals, held on October 18, 2021 in San Salvaldor, El Salvador. Beating 9 other girls, she succeeds Miss Petite International 2020, Maria Vasgas. This is the first time that Puerto Rico has won the crown of Miss Petite International pageant. According to a press release, during the event held in the city of San Salvador, the Puerto Rican conquered the jury with her bearing, charisma and catwalk, and received the support of a diverse audience, made up of delegations from different countries who traveled to enjoy the event. She also won Culture Award, which is awarded based on the interview score.
“No dream is impossible if you work hard for it. Fight, work, and you will get it. God is always going to be with you as long as you are struggling. Thanks to all the people who supported me on this path ”, said the new queen after winning the title.
“We were always confident in the great job that Yannina would do. Since she was a candidate for Miss Puerto Rico Petite, she has shown great discipline and determination to achieve her goals, and in international competition, she was no exception. Our organization is very proud of her work and of her willingness and commitment. She is a spectacular queen, ”said Carlos Montaner, president of Miss Puerto Rico Petite, in a press release.
The 23-year-old beauty queen is focused on serving through dance therapy
The 2021 Miss Petite International’s court includes Alisson Escudero (Panama) and Karen Suárez (Mexico) as first and second runners-up, respectively. Delegates from Canada (Jamie De Roos) and Dominican Republic (Amy Rosado), completed the table of the five finalists with third and fourth places, respectively.
During the same night, Lissbeth Segovia from El Salvador was crowned Teen Petite International 2021. Johsibel Leal from United States and Kathe Orthiz from Mexico finished first and second runners-up, respectively.
