Joel Rey Carcasona, also known as Clive Christian, was crowned Mr Fahrenheit 2021 (aka Mr Gay World Philippines) at the end of the virtual finals held on August 8, 2021 and beaten 23 other candidates for the national title. He succeeds Mr Gay World Philippines 2020 Leonard Kodie Macayan. The representative of Cebu Province earned the right to represent the Philippines at the upcoming edition of Mr World, scheduled to organize in the twin-virtual stagings of two editions, which will take place one week apart late next month.
Interestingly, the finals had a Q&A segment that threw some of the most difficult pageant questions that are LGBTQi+ related. But fortunately for Joel, he was able to compose himself well to impress the judges which included beauty queens Samantha Bernardo, Emma Tiglao, Angelee delos Reyes & Roxie Baeyens plus online influencers Zeinab Hareke, Jelai Andres and more.
The 28-year-old boy is a nurse by profession whose advocate is for health and wellness among the members of the LGBTQIA+ community. One of his campaigns include encouraging healthcare professionals in all settings, especially doctors “to wear badges, pins, and lanyards to show patients that they are allies of the community and will support them fully.”
Joel Rey works as Financial Associate. He is into blogging and the performing arts, while leading an active lifestyle by joining marathons and going to the gym regularly.
The Mr Fahrenheit 2021’s court includes the representative of Luzon Bulacan and that of Mindanoa Davao City as fisrt and second runner-up respectively.
