Michelle Calderon was crowned Miss World Guatemala 2021 during a special ceremony held recently. The announcement was made by the new Miss World Guatemala Organization on its social media on September 15. She succeeds Miss World Guatemala 2020 Dulce María Ramos García and wins the opportunity to represent Guatemala at the 70th Miss World contest to be held in December in Puerto Rico.
The 20-year-old student and athlete has one of the most relevant GPA’s from the Legal and Social Sciences Faculty at Rafael Landivar University. She is a volleyball player, ballet dancer and currently preparing to compete in the swimming arena. Calderon has built a project related to the Textile Export Industry of Guatemala with the one she has generated secure jobs for more than 90 single mothers since 2018.Sharing her aspirations, Calderon said, “I dream of being able to be a voice for the neediest mothers, I dream of being able to guarantee a stable source of employment and education for the Guatemalan families that need it most.” She is an altruistic young woman who wants to have the opportunity to raise the name of Guatemala.
Michelle Calderón speaks fluently Spanish and English. She is a leader of charitable causes, and has an enormous desire to reveal the project for which she has worked in the last three years of her life together with her father.
